Tree Trails

Ketton is full of trees - some huge, some rare but many planted by Mr Burroughes in the early 1900s. He lived at The Cottage and owned Stable Field and Priory Field. These are now both managed by the Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust, who also manage the Ketton Quarry SSSI on behalf of Hanson.
This is an interactive map of some of the trees around the village and parish. The Ketton Green Spaces Group are keen to support the protection and planting of the right sort of trees in the right places.
